Click on our menu- check it out, and be sure to visit us during the very first days of your stay in Waikiki. You will be back again and again during your visit, and you will make it a MUST DO AGAIN each and every time you return to our Islands.
EGGS 'N THINGS serves an impressive assortment of omelets - the fillings for you to choose from include various cheeses, spinach, sausages, ham, bacon, onions, corned beef hash, a combination of any of this, and on and on. We also have Vegetarian Omelettes, and run featured Special Omelettes on a daily basis.
Eggs ‘n Things, the popular Waikiki eatery for both locals and tourists since 1974, now sports a new home and hours. It is open daily from 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 10 PM at 343 Saratoga Road, Honolulu, Hawaii 96815, directly across the Waikiki U.S. Post Office.
Eggs ‘n Things is often touted by locals, tourists, and media from around the world as the “Best Breakfast in Hawaii.” This is not surprising since Jerry and Jan Fukunaga, the founders of Eggs ’n Things, insisted on using only the freshest and finest of quality ingredients. Their concept or catch phrase was “Serving quality food and the Spirit of Aloha to everyone.”
In 1974 Jerry and Jan Fukunaga (Founders) opened Eggs 'n Things with a few key goals in mind: use fresh ingredients, keep the prices reasonable, and treat everyone like Ohana (family). This year we are celebrating our 35th year in business and to this day, fresh egg, fish, meats, fruits and vegetables are still an integral part of our menu. Everyone at Eggs 'n Things strives to carry on the tradition of serving quality food and the spirit of Aloha started by Jan and Jerry.
Check out the menu. More than 35 years later, the tradition continues . . . .
Eggs ‘n Things offers an impressive assortment of omelets with a choice of fillings, ranging from various cheeses, fresh spinach, fresh mushrooms, sausages, bacon to corned beef, and on and on. Vegetarian and daily-featured special omelets are also available to tempt the palate.
The freshest of fish, mahimahi, ono, or ahi, is on the daily menu, served with sautéed or Cajun style.
The crepes, wonderful, thin pancakes, filled with sour cream, mangos, apples, strawberries, are just the beginning. Lots of powdered sugar are sprinkled on the crepes as well as on the waffles.
The pancakes are the real thing, light, fluffy, and offered with a vast choice of syrups, including a special, fresh fruit syrup made daily. The macadamia nut and the strawberry whipped pancakes are the favorites. (Take a look at Gifts ‘n Things for the complete list of syrups.)
The French toast, topped with fresh papaya or dark sweet cherries is also a favorite among locals and tourists.
Any of these dishes may be accompanied by the Wailua (Oahu’s North Shore) World Class Coffee Blend, or the other specialty coffee or teas, including iced cappuccino, and fresh squeezed fruit juices.
During our dinner hours (5:00 PM – 10:00 PM) we run some amazing dinner specials, like our calamari steak or furikaki ahi. We even have a few great dessert items like our ice cream waffles, or our fresh fruit mini dessert pancakes.
We could go on and on, but actually, it would be best if you just came to visit us . . . .
When you do, a host(ess) in classic Aloha wear of tropical designs greets you. Waitresses, often with fresh flowers in their hair, whisk about filling orders in the peasant-style blouses, and the unique aprons which were designed by founder Jan Fukunaga and her mother many years ago. The aprons remain a discussion topic among our customers, many of whom continue to ask if they are for sale. Sorry, they aren’t. Other members of our crew appear in aloha attire as well.
On the walls you’ll see historic pictures of old Hawaii, and some pictures of memories of the other Eggs ‘n Things locations.
When you’re here be sure to also visit our retail shop. We sell our buttermilk pancake mix, our syrups, our Wailua coffee, eco-friendly cotton canvas bag, T-shirts and more.
Although anyone who has ever eaten at Eggs ’n Things will agree that the experience is well worth the wait, there is often a line, on some mornings, as early as 7 am, so we suggest you get here early or if you do have to wait, we’ll try our best to make sure it is worth the wait.
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about Eggs ‘n Things. We hope to see you soon.
